ALINE
D'AMBRICOURT CLAVECIN
Aline
dAMBRICOURT, harpsichordist, was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine
on the outskirts of Paris on 22 November 1967.
She first started to practice scales on the piano at the age of
four guided by her mother
and discovered the harpsichord at the age of 8.
She studied under the greatest harpsichord players:
Christophe Rousset, Bob Van Asperen, Enrico Baiano, Kenneth Gilbert.
Since 1991 Aline dAMBRICOURT has pursued a career as
solo performer and accompanist.
Highlights of her performances include playing with the ensemble
Collegium Pro Musica
of Genoa conducted by Stefano Bagliano and the sopranist
Fabrice di Falco,
giving recitals on authentic seventeenth and eighteenth century
instruments
in private residences and historic buildings (at the St Cecilia
Hall in Edinburgh
on the Taskin harpsichord from the Russell Collection of historic
instruments,
at Fenton House in London, at the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome,
at the Querini Stampallia Foundation in Venice, at the Royal Palace
of Fredensborg in Denmark,
in the Hall of Mirrors of the Parliament building in Brussels)
and taking part in prestigious international festivals in Austria,
Belgium, Denmark, France,
Germany, Italy and Scotland. In May 2002, at the invitation of the
city of Aalborg,
she played at the Parliament building in Brussels in the presence
of the Danish and Belgian royal families.
In 2004 Her Majesty the Queen and His Highness the Prince Consort
of Denmark
invited her to play at the Palace of Fredensborg.
Since 2004 she has been the agent in Denmark for the pianist Cyprien
Katsaris,
organizing a recital for the 50th anniversary of the company
Mekoprint in October 2004
and a concert with the Philarmonia Orchestra of Aalborg on 20 September
2006.
She was invited to give a master class in the St Cecilia Hall at
the University of Edinburgh in October 2004.
