CLAUDE BOUCHARD  ORGAN

« I preferred to wait until the early twilight years of my life
before playing a great organ
in order to express everything that I had always wanted to hear »
Claude Bouchard (2005)

In January 2006, an encounter with Su-One Park, graduate of Lyon's National Conservatoire
of Music and Dance, made possible this venture behind the keyboards.
But the task for the young professor from the Institut de Musique Sacrée was not a simple one:
how does one teach the art if improvisation to this enthusiast?
Infinite patience and a warm friendship was the answer.
The memory of numerous concerts, of recordings played repeatedly and analysed for insight
into this unique approach to organ music fuelled his desire to succeed
in expressing this spontaneity.
These spontaneous pieces give us the opportunity to delight in the full range of colours
and stops of the organ which Claude BOUCHARD employs with such gusto.
So let yourselves be charmed and captivated by this unique musical journey.
His fingers run and take flight, as do his and our spirits.
