MARYLIN FRASCONE  PIANO

Acclaimed by the critics, Marylin FRASCONE is noted above all for her sensitivity and imagination
and for the great poetry and lyricism of her playing. Her artistic charisma,
and her exceptional skill as an instrumentalist have developed under the influence of two cultures :
that of France, where she was born and took her first piano lessons with Annie d'Arco and Vadim Sakharov,
and that of Russia, where, after being awarded a scholarship by the French ministry of Culture,
she studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the class of Natalia Trull and Sergey Dorensky.

Marylin FRASCONE gave first concerts at the age of twelve and she caused a sensation
with her performance at the Salle Gaveau in Paris of two MOZART Piano Concertos
and César FRANCK's Variations Symphoniques.

In 1995 She won First Prize in the Marienbad International Chopin Competition (Czech Republic).
Since then Marylin FRASCONE has been invited to appear regularly in Europe, Asia and Brasil.
She has played at major festivals and has appeared as a soloist with various famous symphony orchestras.

Her recordings of works by LISZT/RAVEL, RACHMANINOV and LISZT in Live recordind
deservedly attracted a great deal of attention and she was highly rated by specialised music magazines,
including Diapason, Le Monde de la Musique, Répertoire, Grammophon England, etc...

Her recent CD, devoted to MOUSSORGSKY and CHOPIN (Integral Classic, May 2008),
has also been hailed by the critics.

Marylin FRASCONE will be Jury of the 4th International Piano Competition "The Muse" in Greece (2008).
