ÉRIC and TANIA HEIDSIECK   PIANO

Tania and Éric HEIDSIECK were married in 1960 and played their first concert together in 1961.
The pair was hailed as an “exceptional duet” (Pierre Petit).
“Two artists playing like one and having the talent of four” (Clarendon - Le Figaro).
Here we have two fine artists. Brilliant scholars of Marcel Ciampi, Ms Bascourret de Guéraldi and Yvonne Lefébure,
neither of the two, as is often the case, overshadowed each other.

The general public, critics and television networks across the world have been unanimous
in praising their talent, their imagination and their energy to communicate.
Recorded in South America, the US, Europe, Japan, Russia, the Azores and Arab countries,
both in four hands and in two hands solo or with an orchestra (Dresden: Concerto Martinù -
Detroit: Concerto Mendelssohn) - Recordings made at EMI (Brahms, Liszt, Ravel), Métropole (Mozart),
Cassiopée (Bach, Schubert, Fauré, Ravel), A.R.B. (Debussy), Teichiku (recital).

Interrupted towards the end of the 20th century, the duo reunites officially,
thanks to the initiative of His Excellence the Ambassador of the Netherlands Mr Kristiaan Kröner,
in June 2004.

This disk is the follow up to the live CD MOZART-BACH which was devoted to the duet’s comeback
with a tour in Japan, with the Camerata Jion orchestra, in June 2005.
