PIERRE
LÉNERT ALTO
Born
in 1966, Pierre LÉNERT started practising the violin
with his father Jean LÉNERT.
At the age of sixteen, he entered the CNSM in Paris to attend violin
and viola classes.
He then worked with Kim Kashkashian and Hatto Beyerle.
Numerous international prizes crowned his young career. He was the
first French soloist
to be a laureate of the International Viola Competition of
Markneukirchen.
He also was a laureate of the Maurice Vieux International Competition,
of the Lionel Tertis International Competition and the
« Festival d'Automne » competition of young interprets.
He was then backed by the Phipp Morris Foundation for his
fist major recital at the Salle Gaveau in Paris.
Thanks to the Menuhin Foundation he performed Harold in

At the same time Pierre LÉNERT started an international
career in chamber music.
